Nigeria singer, Runtown has completed plans to offer citizens the sum of N10 million during these trying times.

Taking to Twitter, the money is to be used by average Nigerians to stock up on essential materials.

The "Mad Over You" crooner noted that the money is for people who cannot afford essential products during the spread of the coronavirus where market forces could be battling commodities to raise the price.

"Hope everyone is staying safe. Times are extremely tough and I am certain there are people with no money to stock up on survival essentials. We will be giving out 10 million naira to this cause. Kindly drop your account details," he tweeted.

"Note: Obviously 10 million naira would not go round, so if you have other means to sustain yourself, respectfully don't send in your account," he added.

As reported by MyNigeria.com, the confirmed cases of coronavirus have surged from 44 cases to 46 as at 7 am this morning.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, both cases were returning travelers to Nigeria in the last 7 days with one in Lagos and a fresh case in Osun.
