Nigerian singer and actor, Falz has said a prayer for Nigeria as he recounts the unfortunate incident that occurred at the Lekki toll gate exactly a week ago.

His prayer comes after some youths were killed by unknown gunmen during the peaceful #ENDSARS protest at Lekki and other parts of the country.

As he marks his 30th birthday, the singer has been left with no option than to mourn the dead and solidarize with victims of police brutality.

In a post on Instagram, the artist said he prays "for a Nigeria that I can truly be proud to call home."

"Mixed feelings. It has been a week since we lost our brave soldiers at the toll gate. I have also now officially been on this earth for 30 years. I pray for a much better tomorrow. I pray for a Nigeria that I can truly be proud to call home," he wrote.

Born Folarin Falana, Falz became a known face in the fight against police brutality, and the End SARS protest in Lagos. He alongside colleague artiste, Runtown were the first known celebrities to lead protests across several parts of the state.
