Moses will remain at Chelsea but has not been included in Frank Lampard's squad this season

Victor Moses should have completed another loan move to Inter Milan on deadline day but reports claim the Nigerian did not return to Italy on time.

Nerazzurri boss Antonio Conte was still interested in working with the Chelsea winger for another loan spell but Moses reportedly failed to show up.

It is understood that the Italian manager was familiar with Moses rather than signing Rennes' wing-back Dalbert Henrique.

According to Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Inter wanted a second loan deal for Moses after Chelsea refused to let go of Marcos Alonso.

Italian news outlet Tuttosport also claim that Inter owners Suning did not approve that the club should sign the former Nigerian international.

Inter has Achraf Hakimi, Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian and Danilo D’Ambrosio who are all capable of playing at wing-back.

And the former Wigan Athletic star has failed to nail a place in Frank Lampard's squad this season.

Moses helped Inter finish second in Serie A last season and were also runners up in the Europa League.

The 29-year-old provided three assists in 12 matches last season out of which he made four starts.

It had earlier been reported that Victor Moses' hopes of playing for Premier League side Chelsea this season has been thrown into serious uncertainty after the Blues manager stated that the Nigerian is not in his plan.

The former Super Eagles star established himself as a key figure at the right-wing back under Conte, but struggled to hold down a regular berth under his successor Sarri at Stamford Bridge.

Moses later spent time on loan at Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce and Serie A giants Inter Milan before he returned to Chelsea before the start of the ongoing League season.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has made big signings this summer even though the Blues have not yet gotten their rhythm so far in the Premier League.
