Watford boss, Vladimir Ivi? has allayed the fear that new Super Eagles signing, William Troost-Ekong was injured after he was substituted 20 mins into his debut game.

Ekong came in for the Hornets against Derby County last weekend, but the Nigerian defender was substituted with many reported that he had picked a knock.

Speaking to the club’s website ahead of their next game against Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday, Vladimir Ivi? said the defender is available for selection, Brila.net said.

“I expect he’ll be available for this game and to give us his best,” Ivic told the club’s official website.

“He has the quality and will help us for sure. We must be patient with him as he needs to adjust to new players.

"He needs to have information about the players and the players need to have information about him and his qualities. He is experienced and he’ll adjust fast.”

Troost-Ekong trained with the rest of the squad on Monday morning.
