Arsene Wenger reveals how Arsenal can sneak into the top four

Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has revealed how Arsenal can sneak into the top four of the Premier League by the end of the 2019/20 football season.

The last time Arsenal were in the UEFA Champions League, they suffered a 10-2 demolition at the hands of Bayern Munich in the 2016/17 season, crashing out against in the Round of 16 after losing 5-1 apiece, home and away, bringing an end to the club's 17-year consecutive qualification.

The Gunners have not qualified for the Champions League ever since, missing out on three consecutive seasons from 2017/18 to 2019/20.

Arsenal are currently lying five spots away from the top four with 37 points, 7 away from fourth-placed Chelsea after securing a 3-2 win against Carlo Ancelotti's Everton on Sunday.

But former manager, Wenger, believes there's light at the end of the tunnel that can lead The Gunners to next season's UCL, one that won't come easy.

“They’ve all got a chance because it looks like the top three are away from the rest of the league, teams have moved up and some of the teams in the top six have dropped their level,” he told BeIN Sports.

“We have 33 points to go for, if you make 22-25 points, you have a chance.”

Arsenal looks set for the task after replacing Unai Emery with Mikel Arteta who has led the club on an unbeaten run in all competitions in 2020, but they have won only three league games.

Things could favour The Gunners should City's fail to overturn the Uefa ban as it will give a UCL spot to the club that finishes fifth this season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United are currently fifth with 41 points, just 4 ahead of Arsenal.

With about 11 matches to go, Arsenal will need to scale through hurdles against the likes of Manchester City, Wolves, Leicester, Liverpool, and Tottenham, to qualify for the UCL after three years absence.
