Biden appoints another Nigerian into public office

President-elect Joe Biden has appointed another Nigerian in the United States Funmi Olorunnipa Badejo as a member of the Office of the White House Counsel.

Badejo joins several other Nigerians appointed in the Joe-Biden's administration.

The newly appointed associate counsel took to her LinkedIn page to share the good news.

She wrote, "Honored to be serving in the Biden-Harris Administration in the White House Counsel's Office. Building Back Better will take effort from all of us and I am glad to be able to do my part."

Several congratulatory messages have poured in for the Nigerian appointee.

"Amazing! Congratulations!" A Nigerian man identified as Lekan Lawal commented: "Congratulations Funmi."

Funmi Herbert reacted:

"Congratulations."

Catherine S. wrote:

"Congratulations Funmi."

Some Nigerians also appointed by President-elect Biden ahead of his swearing-in are as follows;

Nigeria's Adewale Adeyemo appointed the deputy treasury secretary,

Nigeria-born Osaremen Okolo as one of President-elect Joe Biden's advisers on COVID-19.

Okolo, daughter of Nigerian immigrants, was appointed on Thursday, December 31, as one of the members of the Biden-Harris COVID-19 response team.
