Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore has revealed what Nigeria is doing with the Abacha loot that has been getting repatriated from foreign countries.

The Federal Government recently confirmed the recovery of $311.7 million Abacha loot from the United States of America and the Bailiwick of Jersey.

The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, who confirmed the development stated that the money will support the construction works at the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Abuja-Kano Road, and the Second Niger Bridge.

Malami tweeted: "I'm happy to confirm that the Federal Government of Nigeria on Monday 4th May, 2020 received $311,797,866.11 of the Abacha Assets repatriated from the United States and the Bailiwick of Jersey".

Reacting to the development, Sowore pointed out the usage of "Abacha Assets" in Malami's tweet and stated that the money is just being kept for the family of late General Sani Abacha.

"Attorney-General Abubakar Malami, woke up one day, labelled Nigerian wealth looted by late Gen Sanni Abacha “Abacha Assets” & people think he is stupid, he knows exactly what he’s doing. Just telling you all that we are just warehousing these assets for d Abachas", he wrote.
