Nathan Sharibu, the father of Leah Sharibu the Christian girl kidnapped by Boko Haram, has received the news of her becoming a mother with pleasure

Speaking to a PUNCH correspondent about his daughter who is still in Boko Haram captivity, he said “I remain undaunted because, if that is the will of God; then, I receive it with all pleasure.”

He added that the news will not prevent him from “going to church on Sunday (yesterday).”

He also lamented that neither the Federal Government nor the journalist who broke the news, Ahmed Salkida, could deny knowledge of his daughter's whereabout.

He said, “I have been receiving calls from last night, if that is the will of God, it is well. Whatever they have done I receive it with all pleasure. The government knows Leah’s whereabouts.

“I repeat it; the government knows Leah’s whereabouts, as well as Ahmed Salkida. But whatever it is, I don’t have anything more to say, than to receive it (the condition of Leah) with all pleasure.”

Salkida broke the news from his exile in Dubai to the President of the EYN (Church of the Brethren), Reverend Joel Billi.

It comes after he revealed news of the death of CAN Adamawa State chapter chairman, Lawan Andimi, who was executed by Boko Haram.
