Buhari's address to the nation cancelled because Nigerians planned to stone him - Shehu Sani

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has said that the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), cancelled the address to the nation scheduled for today because Nigerians planned to stone him.

The planned to address to the nation's was announced cancelled by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on New Media.

A statement was later issued by Buhari in which he declared an extension of the lockdown in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun.

He also announced a two-week lockdown Kano State.

In reaction, Shehu Sani tweeted, “Baba [Buhari] wanted to come out and talk to you [Nigerians], [and when] he peeped through the Window, instead of each of you holding a notebook and a pen, you were holding stones. And he just went back to Za[the] living room. Return your stones from where you picked them.”
